It was surely a really good stay for US Embassy visit. The breakfast food including cereals, cakes, pastries and cheese was appetising! The hotel had indeed a magnificent and exceptionally nice location in the high end Salmanca district.

The staff was polite and courteous, everything was perfect. The hotel was placed in the very central location to a really good restaurant round the corner.

In spite of several disappointments at the hotel, I must admit that reception people are friendly and helpful enough with entertainments booking and willing to help with any questions regarding Madrid.
On my opinion breakfast at the hotel is very poor quality. I was totally shocked by my less than enjoyable experiance at breakfast when I realized that some food wasn't even fresh. Among these problems I was a bit disappointed with the reception service. My request of wake up call to my room wasn't fulfilled, which could have coursed my delay to the airport. So, I wish I could voice a more positive message. However I find that some service at the hotel has let me down.

I really liked the general treatment of the hotel, it is a small place but very well attended, in a street with little traffic but privileged, between Serrano and Paseo de la Castellana, so you could take buses on both sides. The area, the best in Madrid for my taste, with a quality commerce but also an offer of restaurants close enough if you don't want to look for something more sophisticated a little further away. There was also an underground stop a short distance away and there was a shopping centre (ABC) nearby in case you needed something but without the noise. A quite correct and complete breakfast. I already knew the area, but not the hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. Very quiet. As to return in my next stay.
Everything went very well, but I have always wondered why hotels in a double room with more than enough space only put one chair. In this one it was the same and I think that with two chairs the room would be more comfortable and you would be able to sit down and have a drink from the minibar, for example. Or to order something from the restaurant next door. With only one chair one of the two would have to sit on the bed and it would not have been comfortable.

The reception, ground floor and staff are the best thing about the hotel, especially the staff who are very friendly and polite. The cleaning was good, the bed comfortable and is very well located within the Salamanca district next to the Corte Ingles de Serrano. Hotel more than enough to just go to sleep being the cheapest 4 star hotel I found in the Salamanca district. (243 euros without breakfast one weekend). It seems very expensive but there was nothing more affordable.
The rooms are a little crappy for a 4 star, you can see that there has been a renovation but quite low quality. Walls with drops that do not look straight, bad flooring that sounds when you step on it and raised in some areas, the light is minimal, the bathroom small, doors repainted in that way ... one expects much more than a four star in Spain. It is clear that in any European capital it would be a 4 star and even good but in Spain it should have 3.

Surprised to find a toothbrush and a lot small useful things in the bathroom, really friendly staff and polite!Room clean and proper, metro was near enough and distance to the center easy to reach.

Location is great, room was nice, spacious and quiet. It had a good value for money. Although the hotel is not new (sethe bthroom was a little bit bit old) it is kept in a good condition, very clean and neat. Compared to other hotels, I appreciate the wooden floor in the bedroom and the proper guardrobe.

Easy access to the city, nice and friendly service.
A bit more effort to justify the 4 stars.

Having never been to Madrid before , I found Husa Hotel perfectly located to all shopping requirements , cafes, bars and tourist must sees .The staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. The room whilst not luxurious was very clean, roomy and extremely comfortable .I would definately stay there again and will recommend it to friends and family. My stay there was fantastic.

Stayed in serrano for one night and loved the location in the salamanca neighborhood. It's a quick stroll to mercado de la paz and parque de el retiro. The bed was super comfy, and the a/c worked like a charm. Quality towels and sheets made for a great night's sleep.

Nice location!
No Internet in the hotel. The room was too small and smelled like sewage. It is not a four stars hotel.
